Church of Santa Maria Maddalena de'PazziThis beautiful church goes back to the end of the 15th century, although it was renovated in the second half of the 17th century. Before you go in, you will find a place of peace and meditation inside the harmoniously designed portico with original Ionic columns.

The interior shows immediately the contrast between the older Renaissance building designed by Giuliano Sangallo and the Baroque tribune at the other end by Ciro Ferri.
It was Ferri, too, who painted around the main altar, although the sides are the work of Luca Giordano. Before the tribune, go through the crypt on the right and, in what was the Chapter Room, you will see a beautiful fresco by Pietro Vannucci, called "il Perugino", who was Raphael's master. The work has great decorum, balance and a delicate use of color. It is from 1495.
