Of all the renovations made by the Medicis to Palazzo Vecchio, this study, intended for Francesco I, stands out.

It is an extremely elegant room decorated in 1572 by Vasari with some of his own paintings and some by his pupils. The very singular decorations relate to the Prince's interest in natural history and alchemy.
