At the Museo Nazionale del Bargello in Florence is finally possible to return to admire in all its glory one of the symbol of Italian art of the fifteenth century: we're talkin' about the legendary Donatello's David, now visible to the public after a long and meticulous restoration operation of ôrestylingö.
Until November 23 will be exhibited in the Salone del Museo di Donatello the precious sculpture, which has always been there for all the time of restoration, performed for the public in a "work in progress".
Only the most modern technology, see for example the use of lasers, have helped to bring to light the reflections become fogged and the colors faded and damaged by age.
Clearly that kind of work on a treasure so precious and prestigious but at the same time fragile and delicate was possible thanks to a considerable economic effort.
So then it is required the collective effort of several entities, which are worth mention here: the cooperation of Dipartimento della Protezione Civile della Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri in consultation with the Consiglio Regionale della Toscana, il Ministero per i Beni e le AttivitÓ Culturali and Soprintendenza Speciale per il Patrimonio Storico, Artistico ed Etnoantropologico e per il Polo Museale della cittÓ di Firenze.
If you decide to spend a few days in the tuscan capital you must find enough time to observe the immortal charm of a work still shrouded by a legendary mystery regarding its construction and history.
