You will find this museum in Via della Colonna in Palazzo della Crocetta, an austere grand-ducal residence constructed in 1620 for Maria Maddalena of Austria, the wife of Cosimo II de' Medici.
The museum was established in 1870 and ten years later this important collection of Etruscan and Roman pieces was arranged for exhibition. All the articles were found in what was ancient Etruria, and among them you will find Greek goblets and vases and some masterpieces in bronze of Etruscan and Greek art.
